Summer Annual Vacations In Magnificent Lanzarote

The school summer holidays are swiftly approaching, so many people’s thoughts are starting to turn towards booking the annual break aboard. After all, who wants to throw away their summertime being subject to unreliable British weather? And as usual Spain stays one of the most preferred destinations for British tourists, along with the Costas, the Balearics and the Canaries all vying for business.

At the eastern side of the Canaries and the nearest one to Africa is Lanzarote. It offers both winter and summer sun, thanks to it?s incredibly clement year round climate and Lanzarote Flights are available in all UK airports, the journey takes as little as four hours. The fact that the returns only cost around €100 also makes the place more tourist-friendly.

Hotels and attractions in Lanzarote are also incredibly high standard with a wide range of accommodations to choose from. Whilst for those who prefer to book self catering accommodation there is a wide range of villas in Lanzarote to book for those who want self catering accommodation for a more private vacation.

The fact that the Lanzarote island is a bit small means that tourists will have the time to explore the area. Lanzarote car hire is also much cheaper than in the UK or Eire and there?s also a lot less traffic on the road which makes sightseeing a real pleasure.

So what are the best places tourists can go to? Stretches of sand may be found in the area, allowing tourists to enjoy as much beach as possible. Golden sand is sprinkled all over the area instead of the usual black sand found in the Canary Islands. This is actually unusual considering how the area is more volcanic as it has experienced eruptions for the last 300 years. Black sand is also available around El Golfo and Playa Quemeda should tourists want to sample the area.

The buildings on Lanzarote are also visually pleasing thanks to local artist C?sar Manrique. The combination of plants and flowers in while buildings have created a wonderful array of colors in the island.

The north part of the island shows the flora side of the environment. Especially in and around the Valley of 1000 Palms, home to the pretty little village of Haria and a tradition that dates back centuries of locals planting palms to mark the birth of babies in the pueblo. The market is also alive every week with crafts and arts, most especially on Sunday where the biggest sales are done in Teguise, former capital of the island.
