Summer Annual Vacations In Beautiful Lanzarote

As the summer approaches, more and more people are thinking of spending the sunny season abroad. After all, who wants to stay in Britain during summer time? Naturally, the most popular destination for English tourists is still Spain with its Canaries, Balearics and Costas.

Lanzarote is the eastern most of the Canaries – making it the closest of these seven islands to the African continent. It offers both winter and summer sun, thanks to it?s incredibly clement year round climate and Lanzarote Flights are readily available at any time from all UK airports with flights times a measly four hours. The fact that the returns only cost around €100 also makes the place more tourist-friendly.

Hotels and attractions in Lanzarote are also incredibly high standard with a wide range of accommodations to choose from. Accommodation is never a problem either as the island has plenty of Lanzarote villas that are available for those who want a more personal touch in their vacation, the villas are located all over the island.

Lanzarote is an ideal tourist destination as the island is quite small, which makes it that much easier for visitors to get out and explore. Lanzarote car hire is also an excellent idea as the traffic is virtually non-existent, not to mention the fact that car rental is also very cheap so there is no excuse to get out and explore.

So what are the best sites one can explore? Stretches of sand may be found in the area, allowing tourists to enjoy as much beach as possible. Unlike the other Canary Islands the vast majority of beaches here are made up of golden, rather than black sand. This is perhaps a little strange as Lanzarote is in fact more volcanic than say Tenerife, having experienced eruptions as recently as 300 years ago. There are a couple of black sand beaches though at Playa Quemada and El Golfo though should visitors want to sample sunbathing here.

The talents of artist C?sar Manrique also made it possible for the buildings to have an aesthetic appeal. The combination of plants and flowers in while buildings have created a wonderful array of colors in the island.

The south of the island is where the eruptions really made themselves felt – and here visitors can tour the eerie scenery of the Timanfaya National Park – home to hundreds of spent volcanoes which are known locally as the Fire Mountains. Those who have limited time on the island should ensure that they see this place. The view would prove to be unforgettable in its magnificence. Some restaurants prepare their food using the heat from the volcano, something tourists would definitely enjoy.
